  • Why do people use drugs or alcohol?
  • All employees are expected to report to work free from the influence of drugs and alcohol.
  • Employees are NOT to attend the workplace if they are under the influence, or have recently consumed, drugs or alcohol.
  • It is every employees' responsibility to:

  • Are you concerned about a co-worker?
  • What should I look for? How would you know if your co-worker is under the influence?
  • If you do not report, you may ask yourself: "Am I enabling addiction?"
  • Other types of enabling
  • Even if you're not enabling, your co-worker could be rationalizing.
  • If all else fails your co-worker might use:

  • What is a smoke-free workplace?
  • The importance of compliance
  • Smoking indoors is not allowed at any time / Smoking Area
  • These are areas where smoking is permitted
  • Failure to comply with these policies will result in the following disciplinary actions:/ Filing a complaint
